Chairman of the Board

Bob Maresca is Chairman of the Bose Board of Directors, a position he’s held since 2013 amid a career at Bose spanning more than three decades. Among his numerous roles, Bob has served as Bose president and CEO, vice president and head of the Bose Home Electronics Division, and general manager of the Bose Noise Reduction Technology Group. He joined the company in 1986 as a senior researcher for the Bose automotive suspension initiative known as “Project Sound”, becoming the programme’s chief engineer in 1996.

Bob owns numerous patents in the field of advanced control systems, electromagnetic actuators and sensor technology.

Prior to his Bose career, Bob worked as a research engineer at Philips Laboratories and at Hewlett-Packard’s Scientific Instruments Division. He earned a master’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science from Stanford University after completing his undergraduate studies in mechanical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, graduating with honours in 1978.
