Herb Batchelder

Herb Batchelder has served on the Bose Board of Directors since 2010. He was the lead director of the Board from 2013 to 2018, and has also served as chairman of the Audit Committee and chairman of the Compensation Committee since 2013.

Herb’s most memorable “wow” experience with a Bose product was the first time he turned on a pair of QuietComfort® noise cancelling headphones on an international flight and heard the background sound drop away.

Herb was executive vice president at Bose from 2008 until his retirement in 2013. Previously, he served as Bose vice president of finance and Chief Financial Officer from 2004 to 2008. Herb received his bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University.
