Setting up an Amazon Alexa device as a Bluetooth® source

Your Amazon Alexa device can pair to your Bose speaker via Bluetooth. This lets you use your Alexa device as you normally would while hearing it through your Bose speaker.

Connecting the Amazon Alexa device:

Before you begin: To connect Bluetooth speaker to an Alexa device:
  1. Put your Bose speaker in pairing mode.
Tip: This is typically done by briefly holding the Bluetooth button on your product until the light begins blinking. If that doesn't work, see Connecting a Bluetooth device for more info on entering pairing mode.
  2. Open the Alexa app.
  3. Select Devices > Echo & Alexa and choose your Amazon device.
  4. Select Bluetooth Devices > Pair A New Device and follow the app instructions.
Tip: If the Alexa device disconnects or your Bose speaker automatically turns off due to inactivity, turn on your Bose speaker, select the Bluetooth source, then say, "Alexa, connect Bluetooth" to reconnect.
