Checking the remaining battery charge

Find out how to check the battery level of your product using the product lights or the Bose app, if applicable.

Check the remaining battery charge.

To determine the remaining battery charge level, press and hold the Power button on the remote and observe the LED on the front of the system.
  • Green: 70% or more of a full charge
  • Amber: 20% to 70% of a full charge
  • Flashing Red: 20% or less (charging needed)
The remaining charge level of the battery cannot be checked if it has entered battery protection mode which occurs if the system hasn't been used in the last 24 days. If the battery has not been used for 24 days or longer, the system must be connected to power first before the battery charge level can be checked.

In some cases it is possible for the battery status indicator and the “remaining charge level” to become out of sync after a period of inactivity. Running the battery down until you see the red battery status indicator illuminates then reapplying power should resolve this. For more information, see Charging the battery.

If the battery status indicator is always red, see Battery light is always red.
