Headphones are not working with Alexa

If you press the button on your headphones to make a request to the Amazon Alexa assistant but Alexa doesn't respond, try the following:

In the Alexa app, be sure your product is connected to Alexa.

If you haven't yet, download and install the free Alexa app on your Android or iOS device. In the Alexa app, your will need to link your product to Alexa. Once linked, try again.

Reboot the Bluetooth® device.

Electronics, such as cell phones, tablets or computers, might need to be reset on occasion to correct minor issues. This is typically done by turning the device off, then powering it on again.

Check that your device is connected to a wireless network.

Alexa needs an Internet connection to work. Since your headphones start Alexa on your mobile device, the mobile device needs to have an active Internet connection for Alexa to respond (i.e. home Wi-Fi or mobile data). Check the device Internet connection or try an Internet search on the device to determine if it has wireless signal.

On the Bluetooth® device, scan for available Bluetooth products.

On the Bluetooth device, try turning Bluetooth off and then back on to start a new search for nearby Bluetooth headphones and speakers. If your product still doesn't appear, go to the Bluetooth settings of the device and look for an option to search or scan for available products. Once your product is found, select it.
