Be sure the SoundDock has not been turned off.

In order for the Alarm to work properly on the iPod, the SoundDock needs to be on. Do not use the Power button on the SoundDock remote. Simply use the Pause button to stop audio playback.

Check if the iPhone/iPod alarm is set to play music or an alarm tone.

If the alarm on the docked iPhone/iPod is set to play music (i.e. a  Playlist), the alarm will sound through the SoundDock at the last volume level. If the iPod/iPhone alarm is set to Beep, the alarm will not sound through the SoundDock.
